Covid-19 antigen test looks for viral proteins. The so-called "rapid antigen test" identifies sick individuals at the peak of infection. In other words, when the concentration of these proteins in the body is the highest and when the risk of Covid-19 contagion is the highest. Antigen tests are quick and reliable. Taking the sample takes 1 to 2 minutes and the procedure is the same as with PCR test sampling – a nasal swab. The testing, evaluation, and reporting of the result takes 15 to 35 minutes.
